I was extremely traumatized by the pandemic as an epidemiologist who was working at NYC health department in 2020-2021. It has surprised me how few people outside of that context have acknowledged how traumatic it was.

Disinflation means the rate of inflation is slowing. Deflation means prices actually drop which sounds great as a consumer but apparently is very very bad for the economy overall.

Thanks for clarifying that, I was going by what was written in the post, but he does, in fact, say disinflationary. Which is a different thing. I still think he’s a useless asshat.

on Wednesday. In the midst of that, the pharmacy tech made a hard sell for me to make an appointment for shingles and flu vaccines which I’ve already had. I can only imagine the pressure the employees are under right now but I’m ready to move to another pharmacy.

I’ve been pretty loyal to them for at least fifteen years but they’ve been so bad since the pandemic. My local store has limited pharmacy hours M-F 9-6 hours with 1/2 hour closed for lunch. Last week the pharmacy was unexpectedly closed all day Tuesday which meant I waited 45 minutes in line
