Possibly my favorite thing at the Art Institute of Chicago was their coat check, which meant I got to look at art without lugging a giant coat and/or sweating the whole time. Also, a chair made of Formica and an excellent strange painting.

It’s been a bit of A Week, but my last class did our behind-the-scenes tour of the Grand Rapids Public Museum collections storage, and it is always such fun. We also got to touch a mastodon tooth, a megalodon tooth, and a sturgeon skin!
