Also me: completely and utterly loses said doohickey within 5 minutes of removing the retaining clip

Luckily a Dremel and a bolt make a pretty good replacement doohickey :)

Fun fact: LEDs act as tiny little solar panel, which means you can hook one up to an oscilloscope and use a flashlight to measure the shutter speed of a camera :)
