Which covid shot?

Trying to get home from the Back Bay to a North Station commuter rail train on time in the evening is always stressful.

WUT?!

Is it really ok professionally to just engage in a sexual relationship and talk about a woman in those kinds of terms now that she is grown up (alumna and tenured professor elsewhere) even though you don’t have formal authority over her anymore?
November 18, 2025 at 12:01 PM
Let’s say that there is an older male family member, an uncle through marriage perhaps, who has known you since you were young (undergrad in your department) when you were very Senior - President of the University in fact.
November 18, 2025 at 12:01 PM
This isn’t well thought out, and I’m not an ethicist. It’s an intuition about part of what makes the behavior extra offensive to me even if it doesn’t merit formal discipline.

I think it’s also a way of taking an individual customer’s photo and making recommendations about products - foundation shades and the like.

Maybe we should use a different word to describe people who rape young teens, because it’s probably different from the people who rape 5 year-olds, but they are both very bad things.
November 18, 2025 at 10:51 AM
I mean a student in his department, not sure if she was ever his student.
November 17, 2025 at 10:01 PM
She was a student at some point. AB 2004 and Ph.D. 2009. I haven’t followed the e-mails enough to know whether she was not a student when the behavior described in the e-mails occurred.

Medicare’s mental health coverage does have lifetime limits and offers less for preventive care. So yup, I would support that, but we would need to make certain parts of the medicare package more generous.
November 16, 2025 at 7:54 AM
I think it’s 16 where I am, so if two 15 year-olds have sex, they are technically raping each other. If the minor is between the age of 12-16, they take into consideration the age gap in sentencing. A 40 yr-old having sex with a 15 yr-old is going to be sentenced differently than a 17-yr old.

NPs too!? They’re not just in primary care..

Not an American, but Peter Mandelson was a big-time figure in the British Labour Party. I’m sure there are some corporate left of center types in there.

Give me a break.

I should have said “girls” instead of “young women” in my last comment. But they did also abuse vulnerable young, adult women who were vulnerable. And probably some of that abuse was not illegal, but it was still bad.
November 13, 2025 at 5:42 PM
The difference here is that there was a massive, meticulously coordinated ring run by people with lots of financial resources who had plenty of ways to deal with their own emotional problems who nonetheless chose to use their power to abuse young women to enhance their own status.

That woman who killed her son and then had her offer of admission to Harvard rescinded, committed a horrible crime when young for which she served time in prison. That was entirely appropriate, but I genuinely believe that people can be rehabilitated and she deserved a shot.
November 13, 2025 at 3:02 PM
But there’s something else too. I also think it’s possible for someone to be in a bad way emotionally and commit statutory rape, go to prison, deal with what they did and realize the damage they did and rehabilitate themselves.
November 13, 2025 at 3:02 PM
I mean, there are pretty crude attempts to treat the former, but it also is probably a different thing that should be handled differently.
November 13, 2025 at 3:02 PM
Who were the 5 and 3?
November 13, 2025 at 2:47 PM
Would really love to see another candidate in the race who is not 79 though.

I like Ayanna Pressley a lot in the House.

MassHealth doesn’t cover IVF which commercial fully-insured plans must.
November 12, 2025 at 11:09 AM
Is that true if a woman’s life is in danger too? I know in MA MassHealth (Medicaid) pays for abortions using state money. I don’t know what happens on the Connector. I never saw an option not to get abortion coverage.
