Pandering to Putin? Using Russian disinformation to lie about Ukraine's democracy when they're trying to survive Russia's evil? Surely, even today's GOP can't be for that. Where are you? Do any of you still believe in the USA? When the great American experiment is gone, will you regret it?

I'm not a Reagan lover. I've often traced current U.S. problems back to his despicable presidency. But even Reagan would be furious at what the GOP has become.

Protests are happening. The people are making their voices heard. Not to the level we need, but growing. Having leaders stand up and say it's needed, and it's urgent, and it's important -- having leaders say we are at the risk of losing our democracy -- could help.

Where is the Democratic leaders' resistance? Why are they so quiet? Speaker Jeffries wants to "watch for the right pitch" (or some silly analogy) while democracy burns. Why are Democrats not constantly in the media calling out Republicans, by name, to stand up for democracy?

We ARE in a constitutional crisis & Trump continues to usurp authority. The judiciary is putting in a lot of effort to constrain him, w/in their ability. Congress emboldens him, though, through GOP capitulation & Dem. fecklessness. Calling it a dereliction of duty is a significant understatement.

We are very close to him being a dictator. He's not fully there yet; once he disregards the Supreme Court's requiring of him to follow the constitution, and Congress does nothing, we will be fully there. Or once SCOTUS allows him to blatantly violate the constitution, we will be there.

The requirements didn't change. Student needs didn't change. Schools will find ways to continue getting the work done, because educators always do.

But, now they'll do without the resources to implement the requirements.

Those services are required to be research based to the extent practicable. The program that funding was cut for was one example of a program providing such services.

The language of the governing statute (the IDEA) specifically requires IEP teams to plan for secondary transition and provide transition services to enable students to achieve their postsecondary goals (related to education, training, employment and, where applicable, independent living).

It's work designed to support students in their post school lives, to help them live, work, and play in their preferred communities, according to their strengths, interests, and needs.
