The thing is it's important to be sure all players are open to a roomance plotline, not just the players of the dating characters.

5 years later we took a trip back to see the characters several seasons after they left for a wedding themed special that was gwnuinely emotional and now their future son has cropped up as a character iin the campaign.

I definitely think ttrpg romances can work but it requires careful communication between all players to make it work. The first season of our Doctor Who ttrpg campaign involved my victorian woman overcoming her internal biases to accept her own feelings and gave the finale a great emotional payoff

I hate it. The victims wouldn't want this to be used as a weapon against trans folks
