As an aside: our last name is not Fong. Grandma nicknamed Delilah "Ms. Fong" because it was "a fancy name for a fancy lady." Unclear what makes "Fong" a fancy name... But my grandmother LOVED that cat.

Beautiful!! You must have been practicing watercolors for a long time, this is a magnificent blending of realism and style. Do you have any favorite tutorials or similar?

...Thank you, Delilah, and the Humane Society, for what you gave to our family.

...will always kindly remember Delilah, and the joy she brought to my grandmother in her elder years. To this day, my father considers adopting Delilah to be one of the best decisions he's ever made, and my whole family credits Delilah with helping my grandmother maintain her health and vitality....

She lived with my grandmother well into both of their old age, and my grandmother passed fairly soon after she did. My family...

...owned the place. She followed my grandmother everywhere, but was never underfoot, and never entered the kitchen. It was like she knew how to stay out of the way. She tolerated all manner of brushing, grooming, kisses, and nicknames (Ms. Fong, Wushie Wumpkin, Queen of the Wumpkins, etc.). She...

It took Peanut (now renamed Delilah) three days to become comfortable in my grandmother's condo. But eventually, she may as well have...

She ended up adopting the very first cat we saw; a five-year-old bobtail calico named Peanut. The shelter staff said the bob was...

...father was growing up, his family had a lot of pets, and his mother was always partial to the cats. So, one day we took Grandma and me to the local Humane Society to pick out a cat.

She didn't want a kitten, because they require too much energy and movement for her to keep up with. Her home...

When my...

My grandmother lived alone. Her ex-husband moved across the country and was, simply put, a dangerous and mean man. Of her four children, only my father remained in the same State. However, he worked long hours and couldn't keep her company all the time.

In her early 80s, she lost the ability to...

Your flowers and koi fish are so elegant!! Do you have a favorite source of tutorials, or how did you learn, or are you winging it?

I'm relatively new to watercolors and still trying to learn to capture that grace
