I haven’t been able to reconcile “Trump support” with “good people”. Whether willful ignorance or malevolence (likely the latter with my family), the outcome is the same. Good luck to those who choose reconciliation but there will be no open door for my remaining family. Cut contact in 2016.

Excellent piece. It certainly resonates with me. I was an “alarmist” (on a micro social media scale) back in 2015 and was laughed at for warning of the “Hungary blueprint” MAGA was going to implement. Of course, “Russia blueprint” would have been more accurate.

Absolutely. I was scolded the other day for stating MAGA were worthless as human beings. The lady said I was “otherizing” them. She appeared to be a Dem too (the worst kind imo). Apparently we must be kind to Nazi’s.

This is my worry. Knowing-as they must-that their policies are going to crush them, they continue on. To me that suggests they don’t care about upcoming elections. They’ve got more up their sleeves, either faux emergency or more massive voter suppression still to come.

All MAGA should be shunned in this manner. Mace is a terrible human being, completely phony political opportunist. I’d avoid riding an elevator with her too, or any MAGA.

Absolutely the same. I repeatedly think to myself, “think of ALL the things you have to ignore to support the guy”, followed by “what kind of person could ignore those things?”. All it takes for me. The relationship cuts I’ve made are permanent, including family.
