Database migrations suck. Alembic is kind of okay. ChatGPT + Alembic is a lot more tolerable.

The nice part of building stuff where you can just nuke your entire prod DB if you make a mistake.

A portion of my day job is helping nontechnical PhDs do tech stuff. It’s very rewarding. Sometimes it makes me wish I was a lot smarter.

This year’s Spotify wrapped is going to be kind of a bummer, because the reality is I listened to the same six Pinegrove songs every day on repeat. Basically nothing else.

Been reading the Google SRE book. I like it a surprising amount even though I am not an SRE and generally dislike SRE-type-work. Seems just informative and more narrative-y than most tech books? Pretty cool stuff
