The writers credited for E01 are mostly new to the industry and a far cry from “entrenched” in Trek. The main 3 (Gaia Violo, Eric Anthony Glover, Kiley Rossetter) have absolutely no prior Trek involvement. THIS is what I’m talking about.

It was a mishmash of DISCO, SNW, and SEC31. I was hoping they would move on from Alex Kurtzman and Olatunde Osunsanmi, and use some hardcore Trek-knowledgeable writers, directors, and exec producers. Also wish it wasn’t so far in the future and after “the burn” concept that is just lazy writing IMO
