I could blog endlessly about this shit. There's a reason why I have such a deep hatred for World of Warcraft. It's THE largest negative influence on my favorite genre of games as it really cemented the idea of having dailies and weekly lockouts instead of letting you play as much as you want.

Not these damn chore based games at least, but I do kinda get it. When they're combined with a social aspect such as getting to show off your progress the time limited tasks become people's masters and it's just all really fucked up, psychological manipulation based tactics.
