I was really young when my parents first showed me the 70’s animated Hobbit movie, early 80’s. I started reading heavily around 9, and read the Hobbit first. I don’t think I tackled the Lord of the Rings till about 11. I tried The Silmarilon, but couldn’t get through until I was much older.

Unfortunately his kind tends to scrape by. My guess is he will move and run for office elsewhere.
