Pretty sure you know too but not all the community is bad. I've been a Digimon fan for 25 years, literally since I saw Adventure for the first time, and in the years have met many others that are into this side as well or at least had the decency to ignore if it wasn't their cup of tea

It would really depend if in the original is like that too or is the change in translation
