None of which is to say that studying single species is bad, we should just be honest about it.

And it feeds into the ridiculous idea that classic model organisms are somehow inherently more generalizable than other taxa, which is nonsense. I think we can almost never assume that results from one taxon will be broadly generalizable, and in fact should often assume the opposite.

I've also been going through my oldest notebooks recently! Earliest lists are from when I was 7... unfortunately I too often did not consider at the time the importance writing down the exact location or date 😭
