Klassikko!

2020-lukulainen ote voisi olla, että kuolleen paavin joukossa ei suomalaisia verotuloja.

But how much more fun you'll have reading about Thanos, Magus, Warlock, Doom and Kang trying to outsmart each other in the sequel Infinity War (1992)?

I didn't like the end but mostly it's my favorite Starlin book, especially when it comes to dialogue.

Does his name happen to be "John"?

To be fair, since all caps can make reading more difficult they are not an accessibility barrier like eg. low contrast.

All caps are bad for long or unfamiliar texts but not in logos and short acronyms. And if you can't properly format headings, using all caps instead to mark them is preferable.

This page from Wells', Dragotta's & Menyz' ASM 10 is (or at least should be) iconic in how it talks about this. We've all seen thousands of stories where a comic book hero is ready to risk their life for someone else. This is taking that sentiment literally and to the next level.

I agree. The Borg lost some of their scariness with her - along with Star Trek's emblematic approach to systemic issues. It's not very Star Trek to solve galactic social issues by punching a person.

Then again, they still used the device better than Game of Thrones did 😄

In Picard's first season they emphasized that all borgs are victims. One could see that by using a "Borg Queen" character they switched from "force of nature" to "there's always someone who benefits from the abuse and who has the power to stop".

After this movie I enjoyed so much of Picard's first season where they reminded that ALL the borgs are just victims.

(No spoilers for the rest of the series, thank you!)

I never realized his this fixation to people with L before.

One more note: We should have somewhat continuity for the visual apperance of Bruce Banner, too.

I understand the "entry point" point of view there, but there are other ways to ease the entry, too. At least they should DEFINITELY NOT keep doing the thing they have done in the X-men (starting from HoX/PoX) where they have removed pratically all the "as seen in" boxes.

I have to mention how marvellous job @straczynski.bsky.social did with his current Captain America run while interpreting Steve's youth: changing his condition from weak to sick, and how he embodied Cap even before getting the serum. And yet it all respected the continuity.

I guess there are levels:
1. Make only necessary changes (eg. Sue's age while meeting Reed, Bruce's intentions with the G-bomb).
2. Don't talk about it (eg. Frank serving in Vietnam).
3. Embrace (eg. violent Hank, General Strange)
4. Do a retro that claims heroes actually wore the original outfits.

Journalismissa ärsyttävät tavat 2: Se kun ihmisen historian menneet virheet - esim. osallistuminen ahdasmielisen/rasistisen yhteisön toimintaan, sosiaalisesti vastuuton liiketoiminta - esitetään myötämielisessä henkilökuvassa (naistenlehdet, SK:n "Hän"...) hyödyllisenä oman kasvun osana. 1/
