Gotcha! I didn’t realize there was difference in the extension rule, that probably makes a huge difference for players in the $10M - $25M AAV range.
It seems then that the idea that the new CBA is “bad” is generated from the idea that teams have to actually manage and navigate their caps more.

It feels to me like this CBA is actively combating the “well if he’s even mildly good we just gotta give him the max/ near max” decision making that led to the Beal and MPJ contracts.

Agree fully that it’s on the strength of the offers. If we land one top 5 pick via trade and another via our record, with the top 5 that are projected to come out of this draft, that’s a huge swing around

For sure is! Just think it deserves to be a part of larger conversations about some of the great storytelling games ever made! I think it gets lost since it’s the middle game of a trilogy. Put that’s just my biased opinion, it’s in my pantheon of favorite games ever.
