We had to say goodbye to our little old man, Murphy, today. He was 20. He had a wonderful life, and was the most loving dog I’ve ever met…. But we weren’t ready and it didn’t feel like it was time. Or that there would ever be enough. He was the best.

Happy 20th (!!!) Birthday to my best little buddy in the whole wide world. It hasn’t been the easiest year for him, but this little guy is so special, and full of love, and means the world to us. 🎂

This little old man could use all the positive energy and well wishes today. His hips have been giving him all kinds of grief the last couple days, and he’s had trouble holding himself up today. He’s got an urgent vet trip scheduled this afternoon, but we’re worried about him.

Just finished CARRION HARVEST by Morgan Sylvia. Wow! Her prose has a poetic cadence that, combined with very relatable character, makes the story hard to put down. I highly recommend picking up the Thunderstorm edition, if you have the means, or keeping your eyes peeled for a paperback/ebook!

We took the dogs for a picnic along the Canal today, since it was so nice and warm. Ellie was apparently so upset that she couldn’t swim IN the Canal, that she decided to go for a protest swim in the water dish. Whatever will we do with her?
