Spent part of my weekend capturing some "behind the scene" photos at the South Dakota State High School Football Championships. I wanted to capture images that were more than just the game. I am posting one from a game, because I was in the right place at the right time. I love my job!

Another night, another geomagnetic storm! Handwarmers, hot tea, and the Interstellar Sountrack. Sometimes it is just nice to relax and get lost looking up.

Huge geomagnetic storm tonight! Visible to the naked eye. Here are a few of my favorite photos I took from my front yard. Location: Vermillion, South Dakota

Sometimes, it is worth slowing life down and taking the long way to your destination. Instead of taking Interstate 90 to Spearfish, I took some of the less used highways. The Missouri River near Platte, South Dakota was stunning!

Latley I have been trying to take a moment each night to find anything that feels normal and then a South Dakota sky suddenly reminds me how small we really are. This was taken Sunday night as a thunderstorm and a geomagnetic storm collide.

While I am sitting here waiting for the next round of storms, here are a few shots from last night. That was a little nerve racking!

I forgot to post this, but this is the latest update on my wife's journey with Vivistim. She is now 4 months post surgery. She couldn't bend her arm for 10 1/2 years. As if just having motion isn't enough, she added 2 lbs of weight to it. This is life-changing! #Vivistim #Stroke #DontMessWithTess

3 months post-surgery for her Vivistim device, my wife is showing significant improvement with her right arm! Stroke survivors are getting a chance to regain movement, strength, and function even 10 years later. This is why advancements in tech and medicine are so important. #advocate #Vivistim

Without downloading any new pics, where are you mentally?

As we head into the last week of her time at the Mayo Clinic, the future looks bright. 10 years post stroke, and the potential to start using her arm and hand again is mind-blowing! What might seem like small progression to others are huge steps for our family. So proud. #Vivistim #StrokeAwareness

I just asked AI to create an image with the Iowa State and Kansas State mascots fighting with the word "Farmaggedon" above it. This is why the machines aren't going to win the war ... yet. #BlueCy

Spent the last few days at the Mayo Clinic. My wife had a stroke 10 years ago, and on Thursday, they turned on an implanted device to help her get motion in her arm/hand/fingers and better mobility in her leg. This will be a life changer. Here is the moment the device was activated. Pure joy.

With running back and forth to the Mayo Clinic for my wife's surgery and rehab, I am only doing the essential part of my job right now. But last week, I was able to go and capture "behind the scene" photos for marketing of our involvement at the All Nations Championships. Here are my favorites!
