The reason we were able to avoid falling off a cliff after the trade is that with LaRavia, Lyles, Ellis, Jonas on the bench, we had enough surefire guys that we could occasionally stumble into winning lineups. Now add Sochan and Vassell, that group seems solid.

I think so too but I think a lot about the first game after the trade before Lavine joined where we won in Minny with Monk, Ellis, Demar, Keegan, and Sabonis as the starting 5. I still think we win about 40 games with that starting group and a deep bench.

On the one hand, I feel bad that Sam has to cover this dumpster fire. On the other, I think it's great that someone like Sam is there to hold people's toes to the fire.
