The #Rivian buying experience has been amazing. I love that the majority of folks I interacted with, my Guides, were female, and they were all so helpful. Looking forward to 3-years of memories in this big girl.

⚡️ My average monthly electricity costs to charge my car was $36

🛞 Tire replacement at about 2-years cost about $2k. Besides that, washer fluid, and wipe blades, there was no maintenance costs for 3-years.

📉 It lost 53% of its value in 3-years. I attribute that to the Elon factor and that no one wants to buy a Tesla and that the user market is saturated with them right now. But EVs in general lose their value so highly recommend leasing.

Tomorrow I'm trading in my swasticar so that I can publicly show that I do not support him. I feel bad for those that work for him and hope they're able to find a better job with a boss who isn't so publicly awful.

I'm curious, what are the "lease down payment limits" you mentioned? I have a few friends with paid off cars worth over $30k who were considering leasing a Rivian right now. If you're paying for the entire lease up front isn't there a savings to be had there too?

I am currently experiencing this as I prepare to trade in my Tesla Model Y for an R1S on Saturday. I was surprised that the equity has to go towards the car and cannot go towards the other fees you have to pay at signing. My goal was to out of pocket $0 but cannot do that.
