I will say this: they recently announced the Devil May Cry anime, and I’m gonna need them to do the exact same thing, BUT TURN IT UP! Make that thing cringe as hell. Just what Dante would have wanted
The Castlevania anime makes me so mad because visually it’s amazing, but I immediately get taken out by their need to slip into edgy, “home movies with my friends in high school” dialogue. They use “shit” and “fuck” like sentence enhancers, but it’s just manchild writing.
