We're seeing crazy people who had guns commit murder and the first thought from MAGA is to blame it on what people have said and not on the fact that there were crazy people who had guns.

Another tragic act of gun violence. Many pundits and politicians will take the opportunity to blame politically motivated violence on speech in an attempt to silence critics. Condemning the government does not commit violence. Nonviolent dissent does not commit violence.

MAGA was offended by the truth from Jimmy Kimmel. They were focused in the aftermath of the shooting on telling everyone the shooter was not MAGA so they could blame it on the left and Democrats. The party of free speech loves to use the power of the government to suppress it.

This makes no sense, but the bigger issue is MAGA saying "the left" or "they" will silence us, destroy our country, or kill us. None of that is true, and it's time for Republicans to enter reality where the majority of political violence is committed by right-wing extremists.
EARHARDT: We have radicals on the right as well. How do we fix this country?

TRUMP: I'll tell you something that's gonna get me in trouble but I couldn't care less. The radicals on the right oftentimes are radical because they don't want to see crime. The radicals on the left are the problem.

I am saddened about the tragic shooting of a husband and a father yesterday, but he is far from the only innocent person to die this way. Gun violence is far too common, and I continue to hope something is done about it that doesn't involve a federal takeover of police.

The red/blue city/state debates about violent crime rates are just a distraction from the fact that Republicans have no interest in finding solutions for many of the underlying causes of violent crime (e.g., poverty, lax gun laws, underfunded public schools, lack of health care).

Are we certain this isn't a clip from an upcoming RoboCop reboot?
Stephen Miller on DC residents: "For the first time in their lives, they can use the parks, they can walk on the streets. You have people who can walk freely at night without having to worry about being robbed or mugged. They are wearing their watches again."

How traumatic it must be for MAGA to visit a history museum and see slavery portrayed negatively.
why doesn't the Smithsonian talk more about how the upsides of slavery?

Trump wants everyone to quit their jobs and start getting paid for taking lots of drugs.
Trump: "I think we're gonna be very successful fairly soon. We'll have drug prices coming down by 500, 600, 800, even 1,200 percent."

Trump firing the person who releases job numbers so he can replace her with someone who will likely do everything possible to make sure future job numbers reflect positively on his policies is not the way to build trust with anyone outside of MAGA.
REPORTER: Why did you fire the head of the bureau of labor statistics?

TRUMP: Because I thought her numbers were wrong

Trump and right-wing media actually believe that rehashing Russia's meddling in the 2016 election in which multiple investigations and reports, many led by Republicans, did not dispute the overall assessment of Russia's actions will help Americans forget about the Epstein story.

Those who believe Trump and Gabbard's nonsensical and fabricated claims that Obama committed treason are proving why the Republican Party is susceptible to misinformation.

I wouldn't call "A Minecraft Movie" a good movie, but it does feel like one of the first big budget films specifically crafted to gain cult-favorite status.

Animated or not, Invincible is in the conversation for the best superhero TV show of all time.

With Trump now in office on top of selling our house and my wife divorcing me, things are pretty stressful right now. Trying to focus on my kids and any other positives I can find.

When there's a mass shooting, Republicans defend assault rifles. When a US citizen commits an act of terror using a vehicle, they blame it on people crossing the border. Republicans use acts of violence to advance their agenda and have little interest in policies that may reduce violent crime.

The Suns "Big 3" has produced zero playoff wins, a .500 record after 30 games in year 2, and made their fanbase go from encouraged to despondent about the future. When do they pivot from this mistake?

Spotify Wrapped is out now, also known as what everyone else in my family wanted to listen to when we're in the car for the year.

I'm not going to lie, all of these Trump selections to lead government agencies would have me more stressed if I didn't decide to just control what I can and enjoy time with friends and family. We have amazing people out there fighting, but my place is to show my kids how to be good people.

Since Trump doesn't have to hide his disgust for those who disagree with him on Thanksgiving, does this mean it's OK at dinner with family to call out supporters of his failed ideas which contributed to millions of deaths, inflation, an insurrection, and a rollback of freedom and basic human rights?

Trump chose an unqualified creep who had sex with a minor. Let's call him what he is.
In selecting Matt Gaetz to be his next attorney general, President-elect Donald Trump chose a right-wing firebrand and internet troll who has spent part of the past seven years in Congress insulting the very people whose votes he needs to be confirmed for the job.
Matt Gaetz, Master of Insults, Now Needs Support From Senators He Bashed
The right-wing mudslinger built his brand on mercilessly trolling his adversaries, including some Republican senators, on TV and social media. Now he needs their votes to be confirmed.

I've seen posts saying the Democratic Party needs to be an anti-establishment party. I'm not saying they're wrong, but how does a party that is primarily supportive of scientific consensus be anti-establishment?
