Rockets, Stros
And that’s okay. The Rockets front office are humans just like us. They’re not immune to miscalculations by any means. Just because they believe something doesn’t mean I have to as well.

At the end of the day, we all interpret film and data differently.

Remember, a PG is an extension of the coach on the court. They get their team into sets, control the ball, know what play to run based off the flow of the game, get their best players the ball in their spots, etc. None of that describes Amen.

I just don’t agree that Amen being the starting PG is one of the reasons for the 14-5 record and net rating, which is what the original headline implies.

Is the PG experiment a complete disaster like narratives are suggesting? No. But it hasn’t been great, and it has nothing to do with aesthetics.

“14-5 with Amen as their starting point guard” is a misleading headline.

Sure, he’s listed as the starting point guard, but he’s been at his best off-ball. Cutting, dunker spot, transition, and playing off KD-Sengun actions.

What’s going on with Sengun? Seems so lazy and disinterested. Past couple games as well.

Exactly this. We lost this game for multiple reasons, but one of the biggest was running a 2-3 zone. We were forced to run that coverage with Reed on the court.

Jokes aside, what chance do you give for him coming back? (Assuming it’s to play 2B, with Correa at 3B, Paredes 1B, and Walker traded)

And left Gerrit Cole in the bullpen.

Let’s see where things stand by end of August. Mariners have 4 of next 5 series against teams above .500.

I think McCullers can block any trade, IIRC.
