Very cool! And I suppose that story makes more sense with sediment deposition and eruptions happening synchronously (broadly). I am happily starting to revisit more Appalachian stratigraphy - my first geologic love.

That’s gorgeous! What’s the relationship between the Swift Run & Catoctin Fms? Does this also illustrate lateral (W-E?) variability?
