19-year-old lion Bryan spent almost his entire life performing in a circus. Last year, AAP was able to rescue him. Bryan now enjoys tranquillity and freedom at AAP. For the first time in his life, he can simply be a lion 🦁💚

Tigress Merida was rescued from appalling transport conditions at the Poland-Belarus border in 2019. Since 2023, she and fellow tiger Sanson enjoy a lush outdoor enclosure at Pistoia Zoo in Italy. Grateful to our partners for giving Merida and Sanson the life they deserve! 🙏

Young lion Tzigane, born in a circus, has several physical abnormalities, including a drooping ear and issues affecting his bones and heart. Recently, he underwent a comprehensive medical examination.

Great news about tiger Aqua! He was recently outplaced to his forever home at our partner Noah's Ark in England. Aqua was rescued from a horrific transport destined for Russia, along with several other tigers. At AAP Spain, these deeply traumatised animals were able to recover.

Serval Nini's owner gave her up since the wild nature of a serval is difficult to reconcile with a domestic setting. At AAP, Nini has settled in and we’re introducing her to a male serval. If they bond, we’ll find them a forever home at outplacement partners #WildAnimalsNotPets

Lions Elsa and Marley are now 10 years old! When they were still very young, they were taken away from their mother and sold to a private individual in Germany. The cubs managed to escape and were confiscated. At AAP, they grew up into beautiful adults #WildAnimalsNotPets

Caracal Feder was wandering the streets of a small town in Germany in 2022. She was rescued and taken care of by the German rescue centre Raubtier- and Exotenasyl. However, they needed to find her a new home, and AAP was able to take her in.

Barbary macaque Chitto was separated from his mother and illegally given away as a birthday present. He became difficult to handle, and his owners no longer wanted him. We were able to rescue him. Soon we'll introduce him to the gentle female Beatrix #WildAnimalsNotPets ➡️

Yesterday, legendary primatologist Dr Jane Goodall passed away at the age of 91. She inspired millions of people across the globe, supported AAPs work wholeheartedly, and taught us to never lose hope and that we have the power to make a difference every day. Thank you Jane 💚
