Your welcome. But I wasn't just trying to be nice, think it is obvious

Will be even more apparent, years from now

Even from the small exchange we had on Bluesky, can absolutely say with certainty that the world is better because you are in it. And I sense you just got started

Hi JJ. Do you have insights on historical changes and accuracy trends for projected draft capital from sites like NFLmockdatabase? I think safe to assume pre-draft analysis hasn't been fixed over time. Using projected draft capital to your model might be adding long-term variance to your ZAP model

But I'm sure you know more about JMoney than me and could do a better job teasing out his motivations. If he was a true scientist and academic, he would let the data drive his conclusions regardless of his biases

A fair question. I don't think we can assume mal-intent, intentional or otherwise, just because a person may have benefited from the system he/she believes. Ditto men who believe trans females in female competitions is unfair. Case in point, majority of women believe this also
April 9, 2025 at 3:02 AM
Lol. And no one was calling you anything. I'm sure a familiar feeling for you....

Ok boomer
April 9, 2025 at 2:55 AM
? I can call you what I want. Can't make me do otherwise

To your point, gender differences in polling are rooted in a mix of cultural, political, religious factors. Not all of them coming from a positive place as I'm sure you know
April 9, 2025 at 2:53 AM
We know from sociology studies that men tend to emphasize fairness and fairness in competition more than women probably in part because men tend to more attune to sports performance and records. Women poll as more empathetic or understanding of discrimination
April 9, 2025 at 2:52 AM
A fair argument. My guess is since more men follow and play sports than women, men get educated early about inherent physical advantages in competition. Perhaps similar to how women get educated early about the importance of appearance/weight

Have no idea. I assume he believed in the correctness of his teachings. Seems doubtful he would profess his ideas just to keep the patriarchy alive but I don't know
April 9, 2025 at 2:32 AM
And I understand the term cissexism, you dunce lol
April 9, 2025 at 2:24 AM
? No one is talking about men knowing more about the interests of women than women. Just that polling, which is consistent on this issue, belay implications that sexism and patriarchal bigotry has anything significant to do with the majority pov that this is inherently unfair
April 9, 2025 at 2:23 AM
Going back to the topic, about 60% of all women in a Center Square Voters Poll (Aug 2023) opposed trans females competing in female sports. These women weren't part of the "cissexism patriarchy" lol
April 9, 2025 at 1:57 AM
Yeah, this is false lol
April 9, 2025 at 1:54 AM
Genetics determine sex. Think you are talking about gender
April 9, 2025 at 1:52 AM
Personally, it is definitely a woman rights issue, as a girl dad, backed by science, as a working biologist

Also important to note that the majority of both men and women opposed allowing transgender females to participate in woman sports. This isn't a patriarchal pov for most

Appreciate the thoughtful responses. Agree, the issue has been overblown and used as a political tool. Perhaps the fairest way is to have separate categories for trans women and men, especially with the money now in collegiate sports
April 9, 2025 at 1:38 AM
Appreciate the thoughtful reply. Absolutely agree the issue has been politicized and overblown in electoral politics. Perhaps the fairest way is to have separate categories for trans women and men, especially with possibilities of income in collegiate sports

Moreover, hopefully you understand that just because Lia finished 5th didn't mean Lia didn't have an advantage that was not available to others. Just because I lose a tennis match to Serena Williams doesn't mean that gender separation in tennis should no longer exist
April 9, 2025 at 12:48 AM
It's not an injustice to you because you are not a woman, issue doesn't affect you directly

As you admitted, Lia had certain advantages that are the same advantages used to justify gender separation in athletic competition. HRT handicapped her somewhat, but likely not completely
April 9, 2025 at 12:45 AM
An analogy showing your false logic that just because someone didn't win a race doesn't mean that person didn't have an advantage before the race started
April 8, 2025 at 8:49 PM
Simply a false statement. The science on transitioning is itself in its early stages, none of us know enough about transitioning yet. But confident I know more than you, based on your comments and my career
