The report is a critical piece of evidence supporting the NY Taxi Workers Alliance's advocacy for Int. 276, a bill sponsored by NYC CM Shekar Krishnan to protect rideshare workers from firings without cause. The NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection also spoke in support of the bill.

In its analysis of a survey of Lyft/Uber drivers in NYC, @aaldef.bsky.social found that the rideshare companies deactivated hundreds of drivers with no notice, no due process, and no effective way to appeal.

With SCOTUS’s decision in Trump v CASA, the administration has been emboldened in its campaign to strip children of the Constitutional right to birthright citizenship. Despite several injunctions issued by federal courts, some children born in this country are now at risk of becoming stateless.

Today, we released a statement in response to the Trump administration’s proclamation instituting a travel ban on 12 countries and onerous restrictions on 7 other countries.

This travel ban is a blatant act of hate, but we will not stop fighting back against their white supremacist agenda.
