This little guy (loonie-size) was trying to make his way up to the porch this morning. He didn't like being picked up, until he realized that my hand was nice and warm, then he didn't want to jump off! He is safely back in with the flowers, hopefully eating lots of pesky bugs.

I feel so paralyzed and hopeless, looking at our drought-decimated trees. I have never seen it like this, and still no reliable rain expected for weeks... 😭
So I console myself with my little oasis - thankfully, our well is allowing me to keep it going!

Idiot #2 on other side: "Instead of going fishing in Alaska, maybe I'll go to 51st State instead." I can't get out of here fast enough... #canadianinunitedstates
