If nothing else, "missed social security check" is guaranteed to be the one quote that will be heard across the board.

Sounds fishy to me but if it is profitable I could imagine other businesses competing and offering different and better deals.

Another source: "On the land, which would need to be cleared for the solar array, is a mixture of mature, planted red pines, some seedlings and other growth returning after a 2022 tornado ripped through Gaylord.
"It's not like it's pristine forest land," Whitcomb said. "It's been impacted."

Exactly...no influence peddling or pay to play. Even the higher than normal management fees can be explained.

People who admire Trump probably know it's shady but unprovable. It looks like a "reward" for favorable Saudi treatment during Kushner's time in the White House. It's private equity. You get it and I get it, but not many can get away with it. Kushner got away with it with a decent alibi.

If I was said spin doctor that is exactly how I would frame it.

The point is with Kushner's prior role in U.S. foreign policy and his relationships with Saudi officials during that time, the timing of this deal would challenge the most hard working spin doctor of all time to make it not look shady.

Look up sarcasm.

A very generous $2 billion investment from Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund. At great risk too, to help out a struggling venture like that. People could get the wrong idea about potential conflicts of interest, given Kushner's prior role in U.S. foreign policy.

Then Hunter Biden should be removed from the Supreme Court if what you are saying is true.

I disagree. It is not celebratory. Your disdain for even the suggestion of exalting these people tells me reporting does not equal support. Controversy fuels discussion as it always has.

How do you nor know the history of Time magazines person of the year? Hitler, Stalin and The Ayatollah Khomeni were all person of the year. Only a small yet predictable number of people make this mistake every year.
December 14, 2024 at 4:32 PM
Time's "person of the year" has never been about "propping up." It has always been what newsworthy person has has the most impact good or bad. Anyone over 50 already knows this, yet this still come up every year.

Late Fall and early winter wouldn't change. It's already standard time.
