One thing I love about the NYC Mayoral Race is that crazy cat man Sliwa clearly DESPISES Cuomo and is more interested in bashing him than he is in opposing Mamdani (that and he's the more entertaining opponent to Zohran compared to the more boring Adams & Cuomo)

Ava's story is a bit complicated; Tec's childhood 1st/best/only friend in their original world, died & reincarnated into the medieval fantasy world he later gets Isekaied to as a vampire/beastwoman halfbreed, reappears as enemy spy, then his lover (Otsuru from "Afro Samurai" is an influence on her)

Funny how DOA gave up it's core identity of cheesecake to try to be a "serious" fighting game... and fumbled the direction so badly it pleased noone (even getting rejected by the esports it applied to) and sunk the franchise.
