In light of today’s news of the passing of Drew Struzan, I thought this would be a good time to share another recent acquisition. 😢

My latest acquisition. It’s not the messiah! It’s a very naughty poster!

Another new addition, and especially relevant with the rerelease this weekend in honor of the 50th anniversary. And remember, when in Southern California, don’t forget to visit the Universal Studios Tour! 😉

The latest addition to my collection completes the series of TOS crew movie posters! And like the movie itself, we go out on a high note. 🖖

Another great Mondo poster!

While I much prefer the Han and Leia/Gone With The Wind style release poster for Empire, you still gotta love the ominous floating Vader head here.

While not the best of the Batman movies (and, God knows, there’s been a ton of them at this point), it’s still my favorite.

Considering how iconic this movie is, it’s amazing that the release poster for it is so…simple. I’m guessing that since it was a popular book, the executives figured, “Screw it, just put the name on it, that’ll be enough.”

I love love love love love this one! So much drama here (even if Costner and his boys look like they ate too many carrots). Just looking at it actually reminds me of a Star Wars poster. Replace DeNiro with Vader and the others with Luke and the gang and there you go!

One of my all time favorite Indiana Jones posters. It combines gorgeous Drew Struzan art with the tag line of a sitcom lol.

Give me a classic vintage Western vibe and I am a happy camper. I just wish I loved the actual movie as much as I do this poster. 😕

How badass is this poster? My all-time favorite John Carpenter movie. Maybe my all-time favorite Kurt Russell movie (it’s between this and Tombstone).

Some more Universal Monsters goodness designed by Andrew Swainson and released by Vice Press. The dynamic design wonderfully utilizes the landscape orientation.

Oh, if only this one wasn’t a reproduction, I’d be rich lol. But, I still love it as a bit of movie history minutiae. I just wish I hadn’t torn it there at the bottom. 😕
