Post's method of letting me pay writers directly was a good alternative I thought: I get the variety of information/opinion at a cost I can manage.

The so called Mainstream Media are a problem now ...I have been supporting them for a long time as I held them to be very important for a society. However Substack, where a lot of writers are going, is also a problem: it becomes too expensive quickly if you were to follow a variety of writers.

If Bluesky were to adopt something similar to what Post had ...where you could 'tip' writers ...I would be up for that. I don't normally post as I have nothing important to say, but I really do want to see/read/hear what is happening in our world.
