Graps. Mostly Stardom but trying to branch out. RIP my Jay White follow.
Alright so I'm still working on WK13 but there was a pre-PPV feed of the educational video for fans on what to do, how to behave etc at the shows and I just have to get these out there because they're too good & deserve to run free on the internet somewhere without context

How has this become a 3 way, you ask? Well, I don't really know. And nobody bothers to elaborate on it.

There was nothing obvious in terms of the results between the last match & this one & I can't find anything sooooo...I dunno. Hazuki just felt like it, I guess? Hubris?

But, what's this? Not only is AZM challenging, but also Death Yama-san? A 3 way? Well well, this just became a lot more intriguing

For some reason the match graphics for this one (and this show) are done in a water colour style & it looks quite good!

That is to say - this is very short. Like, the shortest defence of her reign so far, which is saying something. In fact it's not even 3 minutes

It's decent enough, for 3 minutes, but really, there's not a whole lot you can say about a match that's just that short. Aside from talking trash after

This was another of those days where for whatever reason Stardom decided to run a double-header with 2 shows in one day (tbf they do still do that, occasionally, but nowhere near as much as they used to)

Earlier in the day in a trios match Saki got the pin on the champ, so she's feeling confident

Congratulations 9-5ers you (and I) are officially 20% of the way through the week. Doesn't that feel good? Going quickly, isn't it?

You know what else feels good & goes quickly? (careful now) - why it's High Speed, of course!

This week, Hazuki has to fear the Kishikaisei vs Saki Kashima!

Match 9: IWGP Heavyweight title

Tetsuya Naito vs Kazuchika Okada (c)

Naito finally gets his Dome main event, & at the same time he has a chance to win back the big belt, having won it from Okada ever so briefly in 2016, & the chance to avenge his loss at WK8
November 16, 2025 at 9:10 PM
Match 8: IWGP US Heavyweight title

Chris Jericho vs Kenny Omega (c)

This one is no DQ, for whatever reason. Because they just don’t like each other that much, I suppose. Leave it to Jericho to jump on a hot thing for his own ends.
November 16, 2025 at 9:10 PM
Match 7: IWGP Intercontinental title

Jay White vs Hiroshi Tanahashi (c)

Look out, there’s a baby-faced knife pervert on the loose! Yes after being gone from Japan for the better part of 18 months, mostly spent in RoH, Jay White resurfaces and tries to jump the queue by taking on Tanahashi
November 16, 2025 at 9:10 PM
Anyway, we still have the other 3. First big WK showcase for Ospreay, plus Kushida + Hiromu continuing their rivalry.

ALSO – we have Daryl, making his WK debut, who is left with Milano for safe keeping (good choice)
November 16, 2025 at 9:10 PM
But that stuff that is played straight is great.

At one point Suzuki hits a dropkick that would make Okada blush & it just adds to the beatdown he puts upon Goto, who has to fight as hard as he ever has just to stay in the match.
November 16, 2025 at 9:10 PM
Match 5: Never Openweight title

Minoru Suzuki (c) vs Hirooki Goto

Hair vs Hair deathmatch? Ok sure, yes please. Not that Minoru doesn’t do an excellent job messing up his own hairline anyway, but sure, let’s run with it.
November 16, 2025 at 9:10 PM
A pair of giant sociopaths vs two edgy bois – who will win?

To start with KES spend half their time beating up the young boys at ringside. Including young Master Wato, who’s still in young boy mode for some reason, & as he has Evil land on top of him seems to be contemplating his choices in life
November 16, 2025 at 9:10 PM
KOJI HAS HIS MUSIC BACK – all is right with the world. Tenzan does too but his music isn’t as good so we don’t care quite as much about that.

Young Shota is on gear & cleanup duty & honestly that’s probably where he should have stayed
November 16, 2025 at 9:10 PM
Yoshi-hashi gets counted down when his shoulder is clearly off the mat and oh dear, we’re doing this again are we? Guys, please – suspension of disbelief & all that
November 16, 2025 at 9:10 PM
NAGATA GETS HIS UNCENSORED MUSIC BACK, FINALLY. Unfortunately we won’t hear it all because it’s not a full & proper entrance, but good enough

Taka is here sporting a cowlick that Cameron Diaz would be proud of & it’s far too early in the morning to be thinking such things so let’s move on
November 16, 2025 at 9:10 PM
No faffing around now, show 2 of the catchup, it’s Wrestle Kingdom 12, it’s 2018, it’s go time!
November 16, 2025 at 9:10 PM
Match 10: IWGP Heavyweight title

Kenny Omega vs Kazuchika Okada (c)

Hmm – well, what do you say about this one that hasn’t already been said? Probably not a lot, in truth. But it’s been a long while since I watched it, so let’s take a look.
November 16, 2025 at 8:49 PM
At one point Tana hits a HFF to the outside (and bounces off the floor, despite Naito doing a good job catching him) & the replay is quite funny as you can see announcer Nogami in the background standing up & yelling. And yes, it does make him better than Kevin Kelly. So does not being insane.
November 16, 2025 at 8:49 PM
Match 9: IWGP Intercontinental title

Tetsuya Naito (c) vs Hiroshi Tanahashi

The first time in 7 years (!) Tana has not been in the main event at WK. Of course we all know what happened at WK8 with that ‘double main event’ & yeah, maybe that plays into this just a little bit
November 16, 2025 at 8:49 PM
We’re barely a couple minutes in and Shibata has already left a literal handprint on Goto’s chest, so you know it’s going to be one of those kind of matches.
November 16, 2025 at 8:49 PM
Match 7: IWGP Jr Heavyweight title

Kushida (c) vs Hiromu Takahashi

Hiromu gets the Rey Mysterio popup through the floor this year (seems like someone does every year) and for some reason there are balls everywhere. Hiromu likes balls?
November 16, 2025 at 8:49 PM
This is..ok? Which is probably about what a lot of people would expect, I’d think. Not bad, not great, just kinda middlin’. Safe to say both are in better positions now than they were then. And hey, young Henare was there! So that’s nice
November 16, 2025 at 8:49 PM
At this point it was about 9 months since Sanada re-appeared in NJPW as part of LIJ & he still had some degree of ‘aura’ in line with the spooky aesthetic they were cultivating with the masks & the skulls & the whatnot. It’s gone a bit wrong since then, clearly.
November 16, 2025 at 8:49 PM
Also the finish is basically out of nowhere & doesn’t especially track with what comes before it. I dunno, it’s ok I guess, but bring back the 4 way schmozzes.

Oh, and Steve Corino looks like young Scott Norton, albeit dressed smartly. I messaged him on AIM once, he was very polite.
