Most frustratingly, I've seen people who are legit amazing policymakers in their actual govt role, but fail to connect with campaign crowds. There's sometimes a maddening disconnect btwn people who would be great at the policy job but they can't clock the PR part.

& that can absolutely depend on where the message is being delivered. Someone who's great at a floor speech may be different with a political crowd, may be different on a stage, may be different on Tik Tok. The differing venues take practice, too.

aww, I still miss Kozmo all the time. And Webvan. I was living in SF when they started there & it was magic.
