The feeling when you get to a point in your project where it looks so nice that you're scared to keep going

All of my training has prepared me for this moment.

Gardening on my little balcony has really resonated with my soul in a special way. It is bringing me so much joy. Look at my children!

Yesterday I saw the first patch of crocuses peeking out from the forest floor and I felt hope for the first time in weeks. This is the energy I want so desperately to bring into March.

This morning I made a second attempt at this piece I made with my old paints about a month ago. What a difference a month and some new paints can make!

Same painting, 3 ways. Top is an experiment I did last night. Middle, I switched the colors a bit and added some detail lines (which I ended up not liking). Third, I took the aspects I liked from each, went back to the original flower color and light detail on leaves.

Did some zen fish with my watercolors today. Very relaxing. My lines are becoming more even.

Some of my painting of late. They are not perfect but I can see myself getting better. There are lots of aspects that I like and am proud of. And there are specific, tangible ways I see that I can improve. I would like to do each of these again to compare.

I started watercolor painting a couple months ago. My art isn't great, some of it isn't even good. But it brings me great joy. Don't be afraid to pick up a new hobby that brings you joy. It's all about the process.
