RDR2 restaurant reviews? That chili in Tumbleweed looks so good.

That sounds like straight up zombie movie behavior.

Yeah I thought maybe she had mistaken my cart for hers, which would be totally understandable, but she did not have a cart anywhere in that aisle. I had the only one there.

There was a lady at my grocery store just fully leaning on my cart on Thursday. She seemed baffled that I asked her to move so I could have my cart back.

That Nuzzi song sounded like a bit from Girls5Eva. I cannot believe that really happened.

I do think a part of why AI bros get so frothingly defensive whenever anyone is critical of AI is because they are afraid that someone will find out that this is the main thing they actually want it for and will subsequently try to take it from them.

It seems opting out also turns off the inbox sorting features (which predates AI by years) and floods your inbox with junk mail and promotions again. This feels like a pretty aggressive form of enshittification.

I feel like maybe they started from the tagline and worked backwards.

You might have to travel a bit. When we were looking for our last rescue we couldn't find anything up North (which I guess is good news that the dogs up here are getting re-homed and are in high demand) and had to head South.

I'm genuinely looking for a way to loudly express this without invoked Frank Reynolds vibes on accident.

Oh for sure. Most of the reason I'm trying to do my TNG rewatch in order is so that I know I didn't miss any. I probably saw 90% of the episodes on TV as a kid, but it's likely I missed a couple, so I wanted to go back and make sure I've seen them all.

I really need to rewatch DS9. I wanted to rewatch TNG first but I keep losing my place.

It's been a while since I've watched DS9, but is there an episode where someone sees Odo and goes: "Whoa, dude. Why do you look like that?" Because that would be a wild thing to say to pretty much anybody, especially on a space station full of wacky looking alien humanoids.

Nod up when you know them. Nod down when it's a stranger.

We need to get future conspiracy nuts into creative writing classes young. I feel like there is a strain of creative world-building here that wouldn't have gotten swirled in with reactionary nonsense if it had had an outlet to manifest earlier in their lives as a fantasy book or something.

Only one I guess (PS5). I also have an original recipe Switch and a gaming PC from 2021.

The number of ads it takes for me to cancel any paid service immediately is "any number higher than zero".

I credit a lot of my fascination with liminal spaces like abandoned malls to the hours I spent as a kid being dragged along shopping with parents and sitting on the floor of a J.C.Penny in some windowless, fluorescent, gray-carpeted otherworld trying to force my imagination to keep me sane.

My favorite ones are the: "wtf happened here?" episodes (derelict ships, abandoned colonies, etc.)
