I bought a pack of Preppy Platinums for my first fountain pens and they lasted me ages. I recently got a Pilot Kakuno (cheap and smooth), and the TWSBI Eco holds a whole lotta ink and doesn’t need a separate converter (and it’s a great pen).

When I was in the Peace Corps 25 years ago, there was a veterinary passport of sorts. If you can find a place that will take you (and I suggest the Netherlands) you can get your cat a passport of sorts. I hope that helps!

Deleted a poorly written post - wanted to say Handmaid’s Tale as handbook has been a fear of mine since it was written, and also just being older GenX and aging means I’m pretty nonbinary even if I didn’t already identify as nonbinary. This is a terrible reality we’re in. :(

i’m going to vote for TWSBI because it’s better for odd grips and the plastic feels more dense plus it’s cool to see the ink

I’m holding my breath until the last minute hoping they’ll come out with something I can’t live without. The A5 Cousin was okay for this last year since it was a Big Year, but I think life won’t be so crazy next year, thus the A6 Original for me. Let’s do this. :)

Quill and Nib is the only store in Des Moines that I’m aware of. Very nice owner, vintage/current/and his own handmade pens, inks, a bit of paper/stationery. Nice area, but not close to the fair (but it’s not a huge town). Enjoy!

I haven’t since 1987… until now. Just finished the first draft of my nonfiction book via paper and ink with fountain pen. I’ve loved the process for the first time in decades.
