“If you’ve been humiliated, the response is the most significant. And I think President Trump, when he was not in office, was humiliated by these actions.”

Romney’s entire argument boils down to not wanting to hurt Trump’s feelings because it would basically trigger a tantrum.

We need more leaders with a backbone like this. Call out this orange tyrant for the wannabe autocrat he is.
Pritzker: "In any other country, if federal agents fired upon journalists & protesters when unprovoked what would we call it? If officials marched down streets harassing civilians & demanding their papers, what would we say? I don't think we'd have trouble calling it what it is: authoritarianism"

Want to know the difference between this guy and all the other agents that have been filmed brutalizing people?

He wasn’t wearing a mask. Anonymity prevents accountability.

“It’s a notable position for Schumer, who triggered fierce backlash in his party this spring by helping Trump keep the government open without anything in return. This time, he said, “the world is totally changed.””

The world was changed last time, too. Schumer just refused to meet the moment.

Disney/ABC have a responsibility to refuse to participate in corruption.

Kimmel must be reinstated. If Disney/ABC agree to this extortion then perhaps creatives + workers should consider collective action to push back. Same w/buying park + cruise tickets if they bow.

People have power. Ask Target

I’m still trying to wrap my head around how America went from beacon of freedom to authoritarian state in half a year. It’s like Russia 2.0 up in here.
September 19, 2025 at 8:36 PM
I implore you to listen to the things Kimmel said that led to his show being pulled. Ask yourself - was any of it hateful? Was any of it a call for violence? Was any of it something that hadn’t already been said by pundits and reporters?

This is authoritarian state control of the media. Period.

Why would fishermen have to be afraid if you were only acting on credible, verified information?

He might as well be admitting he’s blowing up boats indiscriminately.
Trump: "We're seeing that there are no ships in the ocean anymore ... no there are no boats. I wonder why? Meaning, no drugs are coming across. Probably stopping some fishermen too. To be honest, if I were a fisherman, I wouldn't want to go fishing either. 'Maybe they think I have drugs downstairs'"

Are we seeing the hypocrisy yet?
"Let's put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, okay? Let's see how she feels about it, you know, when the guns are trained on her face."

So businesses have an “obligation” to print Charlie Kirk posters, but those same businesses have a right to refuse service to gay couples? Make it make sense.

The right wing: “We need free speech in this country, even it’s considered hate speech. Violence is an unacceptable response.”

The same right wing: “We’re putting together lists of people who’ve said horrible things about us & publishing their names, jobs, and addresses online.”

Do you get it yet?

I wish reports like this would acknowledge that for every 0.1% unemployment goes up, 170,000 people are out of a job.
4.3% is equal to 7.3 million people out of work.
A jobs report, the first since Trump fired the Bureau of Labor Statistics chief, will help determine the Fed’s interest rate decision.

Jeffries seems to be forgetting that they did legislate with a massive bill that served to siphon wealth to the upper class. It’s not that they can’t legislate, it’s that they simply don’t want to solve the problems that affect the working class.

Stop pretending “common ground” is still a thing.
Hakeem Jeffries: "Donald Trump promised that he would lower housing costs on day one. Here's a suggestion for the Trump administration: try to legislate, and maybe we can find common ground in order to get something done for the American people."

Trump “going in” to Chicago despite not being wanted there is giving Access Hollywood vibes.

Like he might as well have been saying “I moved on Chicago like a township. When you’re president, they’ll let you do it.”

Then we can call it the R.E.A.L. Church.
