Community consultation good, however it often lacks vision.

Also, a plan made 10 years ago may not be appropriate now (and isn't)

Loved it. Great job.

It was awesome!

At 56 minutes that was half the time at Britannia. E really shouldn’t be celebrating that as an improvement.

2 hours to get through at Britannia.

Better, but I’d rather have a response that communicates the act of violence that this is.

Thank you for the update.

Clearly, the answer isn't "Make cars cleaner". Rather, we must reduce the number of cars on the road and promote active transportation and walkable cities.

"Community Consultation" is the way everything but the status quo dies.

I found that the story flows well. I was reluctant to stop reading. That said, I read it as an audiobook, so it might be different on paper.

I don't recall it being as wordy and tedious as something like Les Miserables.

I was having this discussion with my wife recently.

Currently 7 people in a 1950sqft duplex. Too many stairs, not enough green. Rooms too small to host a large group.

Seniors living with us will have to find new space when stairs can't be navigated. We will have to downsize to an apartment.

The problem with this world is these woke snowflakes who can't even take a joke!

Oh, wait...

The irony is that the most fragile personalities are the ones doing the name-calling.

"“I hate that we are always trying to take away from one to help another,” she [Lisa Muri] said"

Like giving up a life so people can get to their shopping 30 seconds quicker?

I can see it now "Famed developer pays to relocate the famous East Van Cross to his new development as part of the public art requirement"

Swagger, it's all about swagger.

I just had to check. It’s only 2h between 8am and 6pm. Unlimited outside of that.

Of course there is a bylaw preventing parking outside of the block of your residence for more than 3 hours between 8am and 6pm where there is no other signage.

I’ll also add; I live on a permit parking only zone. There is still 2 hour parking so visitors can park, and the permit is only between 10 and 6 (or something like that,) no time limits on weekends or evenings.

It’s about privilege.

Privileged own cars, privileged have friends that visit in cars, privileged can chose to send their kids to a school not near their house AND drive the kids there.

This is not the norm we should be building for.

I’m a regular guy trying to live in Vancouver (okay, I’ll be honest, I’m privileged in many ways)

I found BlueSky because of a radio host.

I followed your account from a starter pack posted on Reddit. I wanted some content!

Or it could be new people testing the waters and not wanting to commit.

This weekend while stopped at a light on Broadway I watched a person on a bike come from a side street and hop on the sidewalk to continue along Broadway.

This is a great response to the Van City Council who voted down the proposed bike lane on Broadway saying “There’s already a bike lane on 10th”

The right looks for data to support their position, and if they have to cherry pick or squint to make it happen they will.

I think that’s what makes discord so difficult; they don’t have the same “facts” as others.
