Day #3 in the Bernese #oberland was spent in the sun well above 2000 m asl, botanizing (steep!) alpine meadows & screes overlooked by shrinking but still gigantic glaciers. #Switzerland

Today was the last day of the #sicily tour, time to say goodbye to the orchids, wildflowers, birds… of this Mediterranean island and to the super excellent Feudo Bauly www.instagram.com/feudobauly/. We’ll sure be back next year!

Kurt has just sent in some lovely pictures of Spring on the Greek Islands of #kythnos and #euboea where our group just finished a one week tour. Particularly striking is the rare yellow form of the already rare Fritillaria tuntasia and some very unusual hybrid Ophrys….

Today is the end of a very successful (but very, very wet) tour to Cilento & Calabria: first sailing to cliffs teeming with the unusual Primula palinuri and then up & down the mountains of Calabria led by the super expert Luigi Torino to the best orchids you can imagine 🙂
