Oppressed people- women, POC, disabled people, and LGBTQ people- face hurdles like unequal pay and discrimination that makes it harder to afford necessities. The choice to pause food assistance is cruelty.

August 28 is Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (NHPI) Women’s Equal Pay Day.

For every dollar earned by white, non-Hispanic men working full time, year-round in 2023, NHPI women, working full time, year-round only were paid 65 cents. #NHPIWomensEqualPayDay
