this was my entire socialization strategy from ages 5 to 25

for the purpose of Playing Around just doesnt work very well

not to ramble but i think this also solidifies why watching mouthwashing get the fandom blorbo treatment felt so strange- some characters OC-ify easier than others and the characters from that game are so dependent on the context of their brief & contained story that trying to extract them

i think by flinging OC at the wall enough times you can make Character fall out of it through sheer experimentation and i think thats beautyful

i think it can show more as oc more as character depending on if the characters are made to fit the story or if the story is made to give the characters something to react to (neither's really indicative of Quality just a way you can do it)

i was skeptical about there being a difference at first but you actually make a pretty good point here. character is part of a narrative OC is a little guy you throw around in your head like an early 2000s flash game nd theyre not mutually exclusive
