Watching TCM West, totally forgot she was Charles Foster Kane's mother!

My ticket to entry was a Christmas compilation with the (then relatively not-rediscovered) "Everybody's Waitin' for the Man with the Bag"

Great article! I had an Ovation for a bit. Charles' son Bill Kaman was an active participant of a guitar forum I was a member of in the 2000s (though his identity wasn't glaringly obvious from his user name). He seemed like a nice guy who really liked guitars and music.

Reminds me of the Horizon Perfekt I used to own!

Are the dates starting in Boston solo dates, or will you have a small band or other performers with you as well?

I am 100% into tape-like looping and pretentiously soundscaping

Today I learned that Dan Erlewine has a brother who started a music guide :)

Agreed, I think the author was just throwing out a reference for the music nerds

While I'm always happy to see a positive Matthew Sweet reference (like, I will track them down), ....?

Thank you! Everything makes much more sense (to me) now.

Who is "him?"
November 3, 2025 at 2:53 AM
Dang it, now I bought a la machine
November 1, 2025 at 3:58 PM
Ahh. About three pages down in my feed and I see what you're talking about!

Thank you! I have seen reports of Grokipedia but have been fingers-in-the-ears-eyes-closed-tight ignoring it so far. Of course, that only works for so long.

Totally uninformed here. Who is "he?"

Absolutely wonderful section on labonotation, something of which I had no idea existed before reading this newsletter. Now I might have to figure out how to get to Columbus before the exhibit closes. And I want the "Another Opening" notation framed for my wall (next to the score).
