The whole point of giving them tax breaks was to spur job growth so what's the point if they are replacing laborers with robots? Why are we subsidizing their infrastructure if they aren't creating jobs? Why are we covering the energy bill for data centers? 😒

Maybe if we didn't bomb the shit out of all their countries there wouldn't be so many refugees.

Inflation itself accumulates. It doesn't fluctuate. It keeps going up regardless of the rate. All those years it was extra high after the pandemic haven't been accounted for in wage increases. Wages are outpacing inflation? In what reality???

Let me explain something here: When they say inflation is going down, they mean the rate at which inflation is increasing has gone down compared to the rate at which it was increasing this time last year. Inflation itself doesn't ever go down. (1)

It's best to hear out a variety of experts and to watch them debate each other and to look up the sources they cite and to look up the reviews of their work. Rather than just trusting one or two experts you should listen to a large number of experts and try to get the whole story. (10)

It's important to hear people out. It's important to maintain the ability to argue with people from other camps in a peaceful and productive manner. It's important that dissent remains a right in this country. The freedom to disagree and to argue things out is the foundation of all progress. (9)

In my opinion, certitude is the mother of all evil. When you stop listening to the other side you can lose all frame of reference. You can get carried away. You can get high on your own supply. Iron sharpens iron but only if the blades cross. We need antagonists to share different perspectives. (8)
