Kind of confused as to how a libertarian would be for this. Kind of the opposite of how a true libertarian thinks (ie: less gov't intrusion in a person's life, laissez-faire and such).

I agree privatization is a bad idea. Yup, Bush was in office and I believe Republicans controlled Congress during that time as well. My comment of "who does that?" was meant as kind of comment on how the rest of the US (gov't and private) doesn't fund that far in advance as it is unsustainable.

I mean they had to pre-fund the pension fund .....75 years in advance of the actual payout! Who does that? I think that got changed in 2022 under some reform act or another. But, it took an act of Congress.

The USPS is a mess in need of massive reform. They are hamstrung much of the time due to Congressional oversight that tends to unnecessarily politicize the USPS. I agree it should not be privatized but it does need to be operated like a business. Perhaps as a not for profit, but still as a business.

I see this suggestion at least once a month. Still makes me shake my head every time. If it were me and I got the request on OF then got it again through an escort site, I would definitely steer clear of the enquiry. Not to tell anyone how to do things, just imho.
