Some final pics I took, all of which brought me joy.

First is Just Moved, by Henry Mosler

Second is The Baker’s Cart by Jean Michelin

Third is The Artist’s Wife and His Setter Dog by Thomas Eakins

Hard to explain why this one stuck out to me, except that it’s very cozy and peaceful. It looks like how a productive writing day feels to me.

Name is The Etcher by Stacy Tolman

Love this one because it’s such a mood. We’ve all felt like a lamb with its hooves tied at some point, I’m sure of it.

If someone asks me how I’m feeling after bad news, I will send them this pic.

(Picture is The Lamb of God by Francisco de Zurbaran.)

I remember seeing this pic and sending it to my brothers, saying “back when men were men!” I find this one very fun to look at, and plan to use it as a joke response for mild online disagreements.

(Painting title is The Boxer by Richard Humphreys.)

Was at the MET Museum yesterday and want to share some #art that stuck out to me.

This one sticks out not just because it’s pretty but because later that night I almost crashed my car into a deer that stopped in the road. With the headlights shining against it, it sorta looked a lot like this

Anyone here like to read the Best American collections each year? If you’ve read any of them yet, how were they?

So far I’m making my way through the essay one and I’m slightly (just a little bit) underwhelmed. None of the essays are bad exactly, but I feel like they’re all treading similar ground

Getting back into #reading The Dispossessed. Although Left Hand of Darkness will likely reign supreme among the 2 Le Guin books I’ve read so far, the anarchist v. capitalist musings of this book are still fascinating. Just wish the characters themselves were slightly more interesting 😞 #booksky

Anyone here read Slade House by David Mitchell? Recently finished — sort of loved it, even if its structure (with each new POV basically starting from scratch) frustrated me. Also I had no idea this was a companion book to another Mitchell novel (Bone Clocks), wish someone told me! #booksky
