In 1993 my mom was diagnosed w/a 4cm tumor on the head of the pancreas & obstructing bile duct. During surgery they did not see any signs of metastasis tho they took about 30 specimens to biopsy. Post op one was positive for metastasis in a lymph node! She died of kidney failure & pneumonia in 2002
