UW-Madison had (or has) an 'integrated liberal studies' certificate. Multiple courses that emphasized the connection of science, art, politics, culture throughout the world (not just US). Great program, but not a single class.

I would only add that 'people' or individual investors don't own the volume to cause those kinds of moves. Institutions and billionaires do that.
