Shuhei still made time to chat about games and its so exciting to hear what he is working on next! And he gave my wife and I some Raindrop Sprinters merch and traditional konpeitō 😢 The shop, Rokujyuan Shimizu, here in Kyoto is the only place in Japan that still makes konpeitō entirely by hand

あっとお返事が抜けてた、申し訳ありません!久しぶりに奈良へお邪魔したんですが、ホント楽しかったですよ。次はどこかで一泊したいなあ、なんて思ってます!

Yeah, Tokyo has adapted because it’s always had a huge population.
But Kyoto had a sudden surge in tourists in recent years, so it hasn’t fully caught up.
And with so many historical buildings, it’s hard to expand roads or improve traffic.
Kyoto just can’t change easily.

Nara is such a wonderful place!
Kyoto has become so crowded with tourists lately that it’s exhausting, and the city feels different from how it used to be.
Nara also has tourists, but it’s much calmer and walking around felt really nice… even nostalgic.

Thanks! My account has been restored too!
I was really surprised, but I’m so relieved it’s back to normal.

やり方が乱暴過ぎるんですよね、ワンクッション置いて警告を出すとか、そういうのが一切ない上に異議申し立ても反応がないし……

Yeah, it seems that way. There’s a lot of confusion here in Japan too.
The way they’re handling it feels really rough.

“I’m glad I joined Namco during the C15/C30 era — a little later and it would’ve been FM sound.”
“I prefer Sky Kid over Sky Kid DX with FM sound. I take pride in the original Namco tone.”

Hearing that made me so happy. It’s wonderful to know she truly loved the Namco sound.

I’m really glad it reached you!

Thanks! Haha, it’s a little embarrassing to hear that — but life’s funny, isn’t it?

- At 47, you became a father.

And one day, your game was referenced inside DELTARUNE.
Life hasn’t been easy, but you’re a lucky one—and it only gets more interesting from here.

Thanks! I’ve always been stuck in the 80s and 90s when it comes to games.
My head’s just full of old ideas, so I naturally think of simple ones like this.
I love exploring how far those primitive kinds of play can go.
