Me too. Lewis handles pressure better than anyone and Ferrari is pressure. He has what Ferrari needs, just needs to be able to do what’s needed. The fact that he dictated the sprint setup and it was a maximizing performance that took advantage in the right moment, and it was brilliant? Beautiful.

It’s clearly a combination of lack of experience, maturity and the right headspace. He’s reactive (on and off track). His fans respond. His decision making may snowball if he’s not getting immediate results. Ferrari need structural changes, Leclerc can’t do that and can’t really grow to either

I get the 7 years, I really do as a sports fan, but it’s clear why they need Lewis. Leclerc was already dooming about Shanghai before they arrived. There’s a way to manage expectations and he doesn’t have the maturity to do that. His POV is no longer a symptom of Ferrari issues, but part of it.

And it’s just a DSQ. Hopefully we find out it’s not a ride height issue. Leclerc being underweight…could be Lewis’s car was ill prepared as well. After the last 4 years…this is manageable in disappointment.
